BMI Defense Systems' Gunner Accessory Package - GAP (2.0) is an upgrade to the GAP (1.0) kit. This updated and improved kit allows gunners to safely and effectively accomplish their mission without injury due to jostle from extreme terrain. BMI has incorporated the feedback and insight from gunners who have used our Gunner Accessory Package (1.0) kits allowing our engineers to make further innovative modifications. The second-generation of these packages, GAP (2.0), its associated parts and upgrades are listed below.

Gunner Accessory Package - GAP (2.0)
Turret gunner protection has always been a priority at BMI Defense Systems and the Gunner Accessory Package (GAP) demostrates the level to which our engineers and developers are able to provide blunt force trauma portection. GAP (2.0) is a protection upgrade available for all currently fielded OGPK Turrets with or without overhead protection cover. Contructed with a proprietary blend of energy attenuating materials, these kits help mitigate injuries to the gunner and scouts.
The GAP (2.0) is the latest generation of an advanced accessory package that was tested and developed through invaluable customer feedback from GAP (1.0). The GAP (2.0) Kit is the latest upgrade of these gunner assessory packages and consists of three hinged turret hatch pads which now incorporate three quick-release pins for quick install and removal. As in the previous GAP kits, these pads address extreme terrians, within the hostile enviornment that a gunner or scout may encounter such as rapid deceleration/acceleration and IED events. Out kits help alliviate traumatic internal injuries to gunners and scouts.
The side bracket pads have also been updated and now install using mounting hardware. The right side pad is now engineered to clear the turret power box. These pads and associated accessories help alliviate gunner injuries in part or completely.
The GAP (2.0) Kit also consist of an upgraded Turret Stowage and Accessory Kit (T-SAK) and now employs a padded Ready Can Pad that is integrated with the existing bracket. Soft turret grab handles have also been re-engineered and have been reloacted to prevent Ready Can interference.
These gunner protection kits are available for the OGPK, Platt, and MCTAGS turret systems.

The GAP (2.0) Turret Hatch Pad (THP), (above left) and Rib Guard provides maximum protection during the roughest terrain and reduce excessive bumps, bruises and truama. These updated and improved hatch pads (GAP 2.0) use quick-release pins and hinges The padded bracket covers are bolted in using available hardware. Right side bracket cover pad (shown above) is modified to clear the turret power box.

GAP (2.0) -Turrent Stowage and
Accessory Kit (T-SAK)
The GAP (2.0) - Turret Stowage and Accessory Kit is updated from the earlier GAP (1.0) version. Using MOLLE attachement points, it consists of a newly designed padded weapon stowage hook. This stowage hook is engineered for the gunner's personal weapon and employs a quick release cobra style buckle. Also updated, is the personal mesh pouch and horizontal Laser Dazzler pouch. A turrent crank handle pouch has also been added.
These Coyote Brown pouches are specifically designed for the escalation of force devices that a gunner must have at his disposal. Without these stowage considerations, each loosely stowed item can become a projectile during a rollover or IED event.
